I've been building a new AQ Authentication API for my networks that work via touching a prim in SL and linking your uuid for an avatar which is public to a secure custom password that could in future be used to login to my various sites without having to give out any personal information in real life aka an email to register which is currently how members register on the site.

Why make this?
1st I've had to lock registrations on this site vs waking up every morning to delete spam accounts that register and post junk on the site. I've implemented an invite system for members to invite friends so people can still register their avatars/friends if they have an account here already. If you don't have an account but have an avatar then a 2-step system to verify and register your avatar directly on the site. Via touching a prim in second life that registers you on my network as a verified user.

Normally in past to get verified I'd ask people to send me a notecard with their profile here on their avatar in a second which basically says this is me in the world this is my profile on the site make me verified.

That's all fine and dandy but when you have 10000s of users on the site that can take a bit of time vs a more automated secure approach which is my new AQ Auth API system.

This also opens doors to make other really cool stuff for SL while protecting people's privacy and making accounts even more secure and making it possible to register later without needing an avatar email account but rather a uuid that is opt-in and out on the fly.

Anyway, I've got the core code working in SL but to link it to my sites as a new method of creating an account is another beast so back to working on my ACME table when the road runner isn't using it The main goal is to create improved privacy and security and cut down on spam and get people that use this place and my other networks an easier way to get verified and or retrieve login info without needing an email. Again this doesn't use any personal info about your avatar other than the uuid that is public in every avatars profile in SL. feedback and suggestions welcome.

Cheers
