Question for 3d makers. How much time took you to be able to create something decent that you could sell on SL?

i had previous 3d experience coming into sl so it didn't take me long to have something decent *looking*... i'm still learning after years and years though, so its never ending lol

mmm well i think i practiced for some months and started try to see if peple would buy what i made, and then i kept going and trying to improve

depends on item but usually 40 to 60 hours for a full outfit. I had previous experience in 3D for 15+ years before SL. I could make something in 30 mins but prob not something I'd be proud of selling unless it was a Frisbee :P

About a month, I think. I remember the first week was harsh and tears happened. Best thing is you never stop learning new things.

better train for a long time and bring a decent quality then just rushing and throw out " half-baked " stuff - take your time

i think everyone has their own pace. But you can see the difference, if someone learned for a long time or a short. You layers are amazing and soo detailed and i would be sad to see something less than that from you just cause you rushed it If you need any help, let me know.
