I can relate....but it's those (for me, rare) moments when something finally "clicks" (or maybe works out correctly by pure accident) that make it worth it 😄

I took a long time before I even tried to use blender, I'm happy I did, but I've been more old school 3ds max and zbrush however I'm enjoying learning blender as time permits.
