I found Second life totally by accident, I think. So I was in a Yahoo chat at the time and had loged out. For some reason though "second life dot com" entered my head. I was like WHAT? Pfft yeah like their is such a thing. So I typed it in to the search engine, to my surprise it did exists. I visited the website and thought "Ok tomorrow night I'll create an account." I saved the URL and shut down the laptop. The next night I got home and went to the SL URL creating an account, I thought that it was a game of some type at first, but soon found out this was no game. I tried jumping around looking for help to understand this weird new virtual place. I was met with a lot of "not nice" people, so I decided that at the end of the week if I did not find anyone that would be nice and help me in the least bit I would delete the account and forget SL ever existed. As luck would have it I met some one I still consider my SL sister to this day. I've explored many things in SL including myself, who I was, who I wanted to be not only in SL but in RL. Second Life for me has been many things, It was an escape from an abusive relationship, It is a way to explore my creativity, It is a way for me to share with others, meet new people from around the globe. There many that I may not speak with on a regular basis but we always end up touching base on occasion. I like most about SL is that it has helped me in personal Growth in so many ways, and has helped shape me into who I am now, allowing me to continue to grow expand and learn.
